Our First Post

I am really excited about starting this blog. I created it so our family and friends can really watch Riley grow up. I plan on posting pictures and videos of Riley when she does fun little things and maybe even write about the not so fun things (tantrums, when she doesn't feel well, etc). I am sure I will also be sharing the funny stories as Chris and I continue to learn about the joys of parenthood.

Riley will be 6 months old in just a few weeks, which I really can't believe. It's gone by pretty fast. It really is amazing how much she has grown. We will be going for her 6 month checkup soon just to make sure everything with her is on track. She's happy and smiling most the time so I always take that as a good sign that she is doing just fine. I'm excited to report she recently began eating baby food and so far she like carrots, green beans, and sweet potatoes, and oatmeal cereal for breakfast. There should be pics of her messy meal times coming soon.

Just a couple of weeks ago she began trying to sit up. I keep trying to take a picture, but I never seem to get one in time. She is holding herself up really well during her tummy time and her favorite toys so far is her Tickle Me Elmo, Vtech ball, and her Jenny Jumper (video coming soon).
